Backyard Chickens

For egg production and sustainabilty.

Keeping Chickens

We’ve raised chickens off and on for quite a few years.  In the past, we have raised, Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rock, Americauna, Polish, Cochins, Marans, and Silkies.  Currently, we have red and black sex links, americaunas, and cream legbars.  Mainly, we use our chickens for egg production, but we also have some other sustainability practices that you will see in the articles.
